Custom Domain: Step by Step

Goal

Use your own domain (e.g., www.mystore.com) instead of the default link.

In 1 minute (beginner)

• Settings > Domains → Connect a domain
• Add the DNS records at your registrar
• Wait for propagation
• Confirm the status turns to Connected

Step 1 — Add your domain

Go to Settings > Domains, click Connect a domain, and enter your domain name.

Step 2 — Log in to your registrar

Open GoDaddy, Namecheap, or your DNS provider and go to the DNS records management page.

Step 3 — Add the DNS records

Create an A record → 76.76.21.21 for the root domain, and a CNAME → cname.vercel-dns.com for the www subdomain.

Step 4 — Wait for propagation

DNS propagation can take from 5 minutes to several hours. Come back and check the status in the dashboard.

Step 5 — Verify the status

Once propagated, the status turns to Connected. Check that HTTPS is active (padlock) and the store loads correctly.

Troubleshooting

• Status stuck on "Pending": make sure the DNS records are exact (no spaces, correct A/CNAME type).
• Site won't load: be patient — propagation can be slow. Try again after a few hours.
