What is order management?
Order management is the process of receiving, reviewing, fulfilling, and closing customer purchases. On Cartva, every sale — whether from your website, WhatsApp, or another connected channel — creates an order record in your dashboard with line items, customer details, payment status, and fulfillment state.
Effective order management keeps customers informed, reduces errors, and gives you visibility into business performance.
What an order contains
- Line items — Products, quantities, variants, and prices at time of purchase
- Customer information — Name, contact details, and shipping address
- Payment status — Paid, pending, partially refunded, or failed
- Fulfillment status — Unfulfilled, in progress, shipped, or delivered
- Notes and history — Internal notes and status change timeline
How it works on Cartva
The Orders section is your operational hub.
Order lifecycle
- New — Customer completes checkout. Order appears with payment confirmation (or pending for cash-on-delivery).
- Review — Verify address, items, and any special instructions.
- Fulfill — Pack and ship (self-fulfilled), forward to supplier (dropship/POD), or mark ready for pickup.
- Complete — Add tracking number if applicable. Customer receives notification based on your settings.
- After-sale — Handle returns, exchanges, or refunds as needed.
Multi-channel orders
Orders from your web storefront, WhatsApp checkout links, and other integrations share the same pipeline. Filter and sort by status, date, or channel to prioritize work.
Order pipeline view
Cartva organizes orders into stages so you can see what needs attention. Unfulfilled orders are your immediate action queue; fulfilled orders move to history for reporting.
Customer linkage
Each order links to a customer record when contact information is provided. Repeat buyers accumulate order history for reference.
Who it's for
Order management tools serve any Cartva merchant processing more than occasional one-off sales.
Good fit:
- Retailers shipping physical products daily
- Dropshippers forwarding orders to suppliers
- POD sellers monitoring print partner fulfillment
- Businesses with staff handling fulfillment — assign roles for order access
Simpler needs:
- Merchants with very low order volume may process manually without advanced pipeline views
- Digital-only sellers with instant delivery have shorter fulfillment steps

Pricing model
Order management is included in your Cartva subscription. There is no per-order platform fee on standard plans.
Costs associated with orders come from:
- Fulfillment — Shipping labels, packaging, or supplier costs per order
- Payment processing — Gateway fees on each transaction
- Refunds — Returned funds per your payment provider's policies
Your Cartva plan may limit advanced features (staff accounts, automation volume) but not basic order viewing and status updates.
